RULES
3 versus 3 with max roster size of 6 players (no goalies)
3 game minimum
12 Minute halves ( 3 minute halftime)
Game Ball - U12 and below use size 4 ball. U13 and older use size 5 ball. Game ball provided by Tournament.
Goals - 15 feet tall by 9 feet wide
Game Times - every 30 minutes on the half an hour (eg 9am - and 9:30am). Game clock will not be stopped because of an injury to any player unless the injured player must be removed from the field by medical personnel. The clock runs continuously. There is no extra time added.
Uniforms - home team (listed first on the schedule) will change in case of color conflict. All teams must bring white shirts plus their colored uniform. All players must wear beach shoes or socks (no athletic shoes or cleats). Casts or splints must be covered wiht no less than 1/2 inch of thick padding to protect the injury.
Start of Play - The home team will choose the side of field they wish to defend. The away team will get the kick-off to start the game. Teams will be benched on the same side of the field. Parents and spectators must take the opposite side of the field.
Substitutions - Allowed on any stoppage of play.
Restarts - All dead balls are direct except for a kick off. Defensive players must be 5 yards from ball on all kicks (unless there is under 5 yards to the defenders goal line). Out of bound restarts are corners, goal kicks, and sideline kick ins(no throw ins).
Scoring - 3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, 0 points for a loss
Forfeit - A maximum 5 minute grace period will be allowed after a scheduled kick-off time before the game is awarded to an opponent. A forfeit will be recorded as a 3-0 score. A team that is responsible for a forfeit may not advance in the tournament.
Inclement Weather/Cancellation
The tournament committee reserves the right to make the following changes in the event of inclement weather:
Relocate or reschedule a match (rain date is Sunday, August 8th) Change a division structure.
Reduce the duration of a match. If a games progress is terminated due to weather and at least half of the game
is played, the game will be considered official and the score at that time will stand.
Only the tournament director or referees can cancel or postpone a game. If the event of a tournament cancellation
due to weather or other forces of nature beyond our control, the tournament will not provide refunds of any type to
accepted teams.
Ejections
Players/Coaches/Managers are expected to conduct themselves appropriatley and within the Laws of the the Game. Any player or coach that is ejected from a game will be ineligible to participate in the remaining tournament games.
Tie-Break
First Tiebreaker
Head to head competition. Not applicable if tie involves more than 2 teams.
Second Tiebreaker
Highest cumulative goal spread (goals scored minus goals allowed) with a maximum of 4 goal spread per game. Examples: A 2-0 win is +2. A 4-1 win is +3. A 8-1 win is +4. A 4-0 win is +4.
Third Tiebreaker
In cases where the above goal spread does not differentiate between teams, goals against each team will be totaled for the preliminary round games. The team having the fewest goals against them will be determined as having the better record.
Fourth Tiebreaker
Penalty kicks. The Tournament Director will determine time and Field location.
Trophies and Awards
First and second place individual trophies will be awarded in each age division.
Protests
There will be no protests. All officiating decisions are final. The Tournament Director has sole discretion for interpretation of the tournament rules.
