KINGDOM U8 ACADEMY

WHO SHOULD TRY OUT FOR U8 ACADEMY?
U8 Academy is designed for boys and girls 7 years old and younger who would like to improve their soccer skills in a fun and competitive environment.  If you play AYSO and would like a more structured, competitive environment, or if you are typically more advanced in activities you participate in, U8 academy will be fun for you.

Each team has one volunteer coach (typically a parent).  Support is received through training sessions run by the Kingdom coaching staff each season. Kingdom U8 Academy is overseen by Kingdom Professional Coach, Juan Delgado.  If you are interested in becoming a Kingdom U8 Academy Coach, please email :juan@kicsports.net.
 
COST
Registration fees consist of two payments, one in fall and one in spring, with the first $149 payment due no later than July 24th.  The remaining $149 SPRING PLAYER FEE will be due no later than February 1, 2010.  Total cost for two seasons is $298.  These fees include the uniform also.  Uniforms will consist of one pair socks, one shorts and one jersey.  These fees include participation in both fall and spring Kingdom tournaments.
 
PARTICIPATION
This program is open to anyone who would like to be considered or who is invited to participate by a Kingdom coach.

TRAINING
Training sessions will be conducted by Kingdom Coaching Staff every Wednesday from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm throughout each season. Dates of training are April 7, 14, 21, 28, May 5, 12, & 19.  They will be held at Kingdom Indoor Center.

GAMES
Each season consists of 5 league games and 3 tournament games:  6 v 6 includes goal keeper, no offside and 25 minute halves. Games will be at Ramona Park (within one mile of the Kingdom Indoor Center) on Sunday afternoons between 1-3 pm.  Games will be April 18, May 2, 9, 16, and 23.  Tournament games will be April 23-25 at the Kalamazoo Crusader Cup at River Oaks Park in Galesburg. 

Overview of Academy
• For girls and boys Under 8 that are looking for a more competitive, fun league
• 6 v 6 game format (includes goal keeper)
• Coed roster; 8-11 players
• Teams attend seven (7), 1 hour training sessions each season with Kingdom coaches
• Five (5) games in each fall & spring season, plus three games at the Kingdom  Tournaments.
• Volunteer Parent Coaches supported by Kingdom coaching staff
• Player registration fee is $149 per season (fall & spring).  Total $298 for the year.  Due at registration. 
• Kingdom coaches provide training support
• Player Fall training dates: 
     o Wednesdays April 7, 14, 21, 28, May 5, 12, & 19
• Participate in the Kalamazoo Crusader Cup Spring Tournament (included in base player fee):
     o  April 23-25
• Team Spring season game schedule:
     o Sundays April 18, May 2, 9, 16, 23.  Games are played at Ramona Park, Portage  between 1 pm - 3 pm.
